Semen Gresik Supplies 215 Thousand Sacks of Cement for the National Strategic Project (PSN) of the Tukul Pacitan Dam, Inaugurated by President Jokowi
Rembang, March 22, 2021 - PT Semen Gresik (SG) supplied cement for the National Strategic Project (PSN) of the Tukul Dam construction located in Karanggede Village, Arjosari Sub-District, Pacitan District, East Java. The dam was recently inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in last mid-February.
Senior Vice President of Sales of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Rahman Kurniawan, said that Semen Gresik took part in the project by providing its best cement products since 2016. He explained that the total cement supplied for the Tukul Dam construction reached 215,775 sacks and 17,440 tons of bulk products.
"We supply several types of cement suitable to be used for the Tukul Dam. Some of the products we use are the Ezpro and Ultrapro brands whose quality and technical specifications are suitable to utilize in the Tukul Dam construction," Rahman said in a press release, Monday (22/03).
As a part of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or SIG, Rahman stated that Semen Gresik always prioritizes the superior quality of the cement utilized for any construction with PSN status.
All cement used to build the Tukul Dam have some advantages, such as higher initial compressive strength, quick-dry, crack resistance, easier use, smoother results, and the best raw materials.
Another advantage of the cement supplied by Semen Gresik, particularly the Ezpro brand, is its environmentally friendly feature. Thus, this green product supports the government's effort to reduce carbon emissions in the cement industry production process.
"The use of this product is in accordance with Semen Gresik's vision and mission to become the most efficient and environmentally friendly cement company in Southeast Asia," Rahman concluded.
